Orchard House traces its roots back to 2014 when it was purchased with a specific mission in mind. Established as a dedicated mission house for service teams collaborating with the non-profit organization Orchard: Africa, it has been a beacon of hospitality and service ever since. For a decade, Orchard House has welcomed Christian mission teams, university students, and service groups from around the world, offering them a nurturing environment to learn, serve, and grow in the Western Cape.

Recognizing the significant impact that mission teams have in South Africa, and the growing need for accommodating spaces, in 2024, we expanded our vision. Orchard House opened its doors to host teams affiliated with various organizations, churches, and universities working in the Cape Town area. Our aim is simple yet profound: to provide a sanctuary where individuals and groups can experience peace, joy, and kindness as they engage in meaningful work that uplifts communities and transforms lives.

From its early days as a mission house to its current role as a hub for service and learning, Orchard House continues to embody the spirit of hospitality and compassion.
